Map of New York

Just before I moved to New York I got this project to illustrate a map of the city and it was excellent preparation for moving out there. I had high hopes of being the busy lady about town with shopping bags but look out for the startled looking pigeon and that will give you a better sense of what it actually ended up feeling like. Either way it was very enjoyable to draw things I don’t normally draw such as a baseball player, boats chugging around the statue of Liberty and some of the iconic buildings that make up the New York skyline.
